McAllen visit

We went down to McAllen for Easter, it was a very long drive but well worth it! The kids had a great time with Wawa (their great-grandmother)! They made Easter bread, decorated cookies and Wawa even took out her accordion! We went out to the 480 on a very pleasant evening. The kids really enjoyed getting to see the animals!

Wawa with her great-grandkids. She was so nice in the morning to get the kid's breakfast while I slept in a bit.
The famous accordion! The kids had a blast watching her play.

Easter Cupcakes!

We all know I'm no Betty Crocker, however I really enjoy cooking/baking with the kids. It's a complete mess when we are in the kitchen, but so much fun! Such priceless memories! We decided to make Easter cupcakes, enjoy the pics!

Putting the cupcake paper in the pan.

Pouring the batter in.Mixing it all together.
Look at these!
After a while, Kyle got bored and all he wanted to do was eat the icing!
Putting the coconut on the cupcakes.
Final product - Easter Cupcakes! Mmmm

Dallas Arboretum

We enjoyed a nice day at the Dallas Arboretum with our friends, the McClure's. It was a nice day out and of course all the flowers were beautiful. Kyle wasn't feeling the outing much when we got there, he either wanted to be in his stroller or be held. It took him a while, but eventually he got into it and had fun running around. Of course, Molly loved it. She would stop and smell the flowers and even ended up with a lady bug on her face!

First Day of School

I don't know when it happened, but my babies aren't babies anymore! Today they started 'school'. It's a twice a week program at a church. Molly loved it! She wants to go everyday. Kyle wasn't too happy when we left, but his teacher said he calmed down pretty quickly and did well. When I picked him up he was playing and having a good time! I just wish they wouldn't grow up so fast!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLY!

Our little girl is 3!!! What a difference a year makes! I think '3' is going to be a great year! Almost overnight Molly has matured so much! She reasons with us like an adult, she sticks up for her brother, she folds towels and puts them away, she is doing great with piano lessons, she doesn't need sippy cups anymore, she sleeps in a big girl bed... and the list goes on. She has changed tremendously and we could not be more proud of the little girl she is becoming!

I'm THREE!
On her actual birthday, she awoke to balloons and sprinkled donuts, mmm.
I put together her present while she napped, the Rose Garden Cottage, it's so cute!
Dinner at Macaroni Grill where she was serenaded to in Italian, it was quite sweet!
Molly had a "Dora the Explorer" birthday party! We hired a Dora impersonator (who was fantastic and the kids loved!) from A-List Parties and had a wonderful mexican fiesta! Here she is with Dora and her very cool birthday cake!
She loves Dora!
I think if given the option, she would have brought Dora home with us!
Coloring with Dora, cousin Dylan is looking on.
What a cute bunch!

They love each other, they really do!

There are some days when Molly and Kyle just don't get along, I'm sure other parents have experienced these days. But today, a different story. I just had to take a minute this morning and blog about it, because it just warms my heart. Since they woke up they have been so loving to each other! They have been sharing toys, walking around holding hands, sitting in the chair together sharing a blanket. Just the sweetest things! I love those two so much and to see them love on each other just makes my heart want to jump out of my body!

Polar Express

We went on the Polar Express train ride in Grapevine, it was so much fun. The kids really enjoyed themselves. They have a cute little village set up, with shopping, decorations and food. Before the train ride, they put on a little show and the kids all gathered together and sang Jingle Bells. The kids wore their pj's so they were super warm and cozy!

Disney on Ice

If you ever get a chance to see Disney on Ice - go! It was so much fun! Our show was 'The Incredible's save Disneyland'. We were on ice level, so great view! The kids had a great time, so did I!
