Making Brownies

For those of you that know me, I don't cook or bake. But, I decided how hard could mixing eggs, oil, water and brownie mix be?! So, Molly and I made brownies. I am finding that the kitchen is a great learning tool...teaching her how to measure ingredients, prepare food and teaching her patience in waiting for the food to be done. I might just try to do 'more' in the kitchen.

My Target Trip Today

As some of you know, my new hobby is couponing. I love going shopping just about every day and spending little, if any money! Malcom wants me to create a blog just about my savings and such, but really I don't think I have the time or desire to do so. For now, I will just periodically post some pics of my shopping trips on this blog.

Today I got:
4 - Kashi frozen waffles
3 - 4pk bundles of Kleenex
2 - TGIF Spinach Dips
1 - TGIF Buffalo Chicken
1 - Pack of Scissors

I spent $0.74 and received a $5 Target Gift Card for buying the Kashi waffles, so Target paid me $4.26. And actually, I used a previous gift card I received for buying Pop Tarts (which were free after coupons) to pay the $0.74, so this trip cost me zero, zilch, nada!

Happy 30th Birthday Pookie!

Monday was Malcom's 30th Birthday! We went to dinner at PF Chang's and then had some "google" cake. Anyone who knows Malcom knows he spends a lot of time on the computer, googling and working on seo. So I thought a Google cake would be perfect for his birthday!

Working Out!

Ok, this has nothing to do with the kids, but figured if I post my accomplishments maybe I will feel more inclined to stick with working out! I have lost 11 pounds to date, without really even trying, but today I decided to kick into high gear. I spent 2 hours this morning at the gym!!! My wonderful neighbor and I will be going to together every morning (well, except the weekend), I am so excited to really get myself into shape and look like I did back in college, maybe even high school! Prayers for strength and determination are greatly appreciated!

Our baby is 1!!!

I can't believe our little (ok, not so little) bundle of joy is 1 already! We had a wonderful party, the kids all made stuffed animals from Noah's Bear Workshop and enjoyed some very yummy cake! Kyle's Papa and his Great Grandma came in from McAllen for his birthday, which made it that more special! For those of you who have myspace, I have a lot more birthday photos on there.

Kyle's First Haircut!

Well, my 'little man' needed his first hair cut! He had scragglies around his ears and you could just about make a little pony tail in the back. He did fairly well, didn't like to sit still so about halfway through I had to hold him. He doesn't look like a baby anymore, such a little boy now!

Piano Lessons

Molly started piano lessons last week! I am very proud of how well she did her first time, while she didn't play a song (but no doubt will pick one up in just a few weeks!) she listened and followed directions very well. Now we will have to get Kyle on the guitar!

Joe Pool Lake

We briefly checked out the 'beach' at Joe Pool Lake, it's nice but definitely not a real beach. They do have sand and a nice little playground area, so I'm sure we will go back, in fact I know we will because Molly got a Dora Sand Castle kit today so we have to put it to good use!

Talk real slow, cause it's late and your momma don't know...

Molly loves to sing the Taylor Swift song "Our Song", I think we have a little Nashville star on our hands! I promise I will get it on video and post it! Kyle has figured out that a microphone increases the volume of his noises, which he finds just fascinating! It's attached to a little piano, so Molly plays on the piano and Kyle "sings" into the microphone. It's hilarious. Here's a couple of pics of my little ones.

What a day!

So, my morning started off on the crazy side.... Let me start by saying my precious little ones did not go to bed til midnight the night before! So, they wake up and Molly remembers that Daddy had ordered pizza for dinner, so she wanted pizza for breakfast. This was not going to happen! She finally settled on Lucky Charms. While I was in the kitchen Kyle was in the living room playing...with a bottle of nail polish I had just put away (well, I thought I had put it away in a good enough spot). He managed to crack the bottle and had nail polish all over himself and the wood floors! Got that mess cleaned up, retreated to the bedroom to get ready to go to the store when Kyle comes in with purple all over himself, even purple drool. He found sister's crayons! He ate quite a bit of the purple one, I was scraping crayon from behind his teeth! At this point I realize that Molly has gotten hold of my wallet and everything in it is now scattered all over the living room! All of this within about a 30 minute time span. Fortunately, after we got out of the house and ran some errands things calmed down and we had a good day!

I'm laughing at the thought of the day's events, even those these "events" didn't feel too funny at the time they were happening. I am beyond thankful to have healthy kids, to have kids that are capable of making messes and to have kids that still think I'm the best Mommy ever! (Well, Molly tells me I am and I'm sure Kyle will too!)

The maid was here today, so I don't know what happened to my cord to connect the camera the computer, so I will look for it and download some pics this weekend.

4th of July

We had a nice 4th of July weekend. We had a bbq at my Mom's house on Friday night then went out to Arlington Highlands on Saturday night. They had bounce houses, live music, store events and a great fireworks show!

Hello!

So...it's obviously been a while since we posted on here! Well, I say 'we' but really it was Malcom doing all the posting but I am going to be pro-active and start to keep this blog up to date!

I fell trying to take this picture, and they started cracking up at me - hence the great look on Kyle's face!

Molly is now 2 1/2! I don't know how it happened, I feel like I blinked and she went from an itty bitty to this 'I think I am 13' toddler. She is adorable, she is so sweet and loving - but can be feisty when she wants. She is a great big sister to Kyle and a wonderful dancer and singer!

Kyle is 1 month shy of turning the big Numero Uno!! Insane if you ask me....I clearly remember our drive over to the hospital to have him (if you don't know the story just ask!). I remember looking at his sweet newborn face and the moment Molly met him for the first time! He has a great sense of humor and is incredibly strong and fierce!

We are truly blessed to have 2 healthy, beautiful, sweet, intelligent and rambucious kiddos!
Molly trying to help me get a pic of them together!

Baby Boy On The Way...

We are expecting a baby boy in about 4-5 weeks. The doctors think the second week of August but we think it will happen a bit sooner than expected as Molly came a little earlier than we planned. We still don't have a name for baby chakery but will keep you posted as soon as we find that one out.

Isn't she the cutest?

On this particular day Molly wasn't feeling all that well but she still took time to pose for the camera. She is such a little ham when it comes to the camera and our digital camcorder. She even knows that she can see the images instantly after they have been taken and is always anxious to see herself on camera and video.

Our Little Blue Eyed Girl

Blue Eyes It Is!! At our last doctors appointment for Molly the pediatrician told us that Molly will keep her eye color. When she was first born we all knew that it was possible for them to change to brown like her mommy and daddy, but they always looked so blue. Even the doctor said that it was possible for them to turn brown of course. On her last visit he said they are showing no signs of getting darka nd since they are so blue he was convinced that they would not change and would stay blue. Both Lisa and my grandfather both had light colored eyes so that recessive gene has dominated in this case. We feel that her little blue eyes were a gift from God to Molly so that she knows that both of her great grandfathers are looking down on her.

Blogging About Molly

Molly is so adorable. She weighs 15 pounds now at 4 months old. She is such a happy little girl. She wakes me up in the morning squeaking and making the cutest little noises to wake me up. I never imagined that I would have a little girl in my life that could change me so much. If you know me, you know that I love working on the internet and consume myself in our website design and hosting business. Molly is the only one that seems to get me away from the computer, I can be in middle of something and she will do the cutest things and I just forget what I am doing so I can capture those moments because they are indeed priceless and I want to make sure that I don't miss a thing. I am so glad that Lisa and I both are so fortunate enough to work from home together and that we are able to spend as much time as we do together with our baby girl. I promise to write more to you all later.
